A Minnesota Proposal.
Saturday was the perfect day to get out, breathe some fresh air, and soak up one of Winter’s finest calm days. It was a little grey- yes- but beautiful, still, and just a touch warmer than predicted. Erik had planned the perfect surprise proposal with an overnight stay in Duluth’s historic downtown for a quick ‘change of scenery for the weekend.’ Carly was in on the trip, but had no idea just how much of the weekend was actually pre-planned. Erik had the ring, the photographer, and a plan; Carly was by his side.
While not a complete surprise- these two had spent a bit of time chatting casually about reception venues, even browsing rings and discussing styles- the actual proposal still needed to happen. Carly and Erik were definitely on the same page together, it was just up to Erik when the question would happen… And Saturday was certainly the perfect day.
I love acting as a ‘tourist’ photographer for these surprise proposals. What an exciting moment for two incredibly special people. Congrats Carly & Erik!
