The Heartbeat; Brule, Wisconsin
If Lake Superior is the heart of our Midwestern shores, then our rivers are the twisting and turning life-carrying veins upon which so many stories have been carried, and many more await their chance to be told. Adrienne and Nick chose to kick off the start of their forever-together story here at the Brule River.
A stunning example of the beauty held in Northern Wisconsin’s lush forests, the Brule State Forest has many quiet places to explore. The Brule river winds gracefully through both wild forest and the well-maintained camp grounds near the Bois-Brule Landing. The neighboring small towns of Brule, Oulu, and Iron River are a welcome retreat from the average everyday city energy and invite you to a calmer slower pace of life- even if temporarily.
Adrienne and Nick couldn’t have chosen a more appropriate location to host their wedding ceremony. The area at the canoe landing where the ceremony would be held was both well-kept and wild- with just the right amount of sunshine, wind, and adorable little chipmunks scampering about. The forest itself was a mirror of Adrienne and Nick’s connection- strong, steadfast, and just a little wild. It was the perfect place for their short, sweet, and to the point ceremony. Beautiful and simple without any extra fuss- just the way they like things.
